About
I've always loved books and the way words can take me to places of understanding about myself and the world. I never imagined that one day I would create a book. After I retired, I joined a class at Hofstra University. I was fortunate to find myself in a class taught by Ellen Meister, author of many books, and students with impressive skills. At first, I was intimidated by this pool of talent. For several years, I composed short stories. As my writing improved, I sent these to literary journals. All were rejected. After four years, I wrote a long story and wondered if it might grow into a novel. With the encouragement of the class, I completed one chapter at a time, digesting feedback, revising and learning the craft of writing. Beauty Himself was born.
